LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY

Boulder Gear offers a limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship,
which is applicable on outerwear only. Our warranty is only valid on items purchased through
an Authorized Boulder Gear Dealer to the original purchaser with proof of purchase.
Limited Lifetime Warranty means that your garment will be free of manufacturer defects for a
practical life span of the product. It does not mean the Boulder Gear garment will last your
lifetime. Lifetime of a product is determined by the amount and type of use plus care of the
garment. All garments eventually show signs of wear, and wear-and-tear is not covered under this warranty.

FREQUENTLY ASKED WARRANTY QUESTIONS

WHAT WILL BOULDER GEAR DO WITH MY GARMENT?
At Boulder Gear’s sole discretion, we will first try to repair a warrantied item; if we can’t repair
the itm we’ll replace it at equal value. Repairs that are not covered under warranty will be
repaired at the owner’s expense. You’ll be notified of this choice before we commence the
repair process. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover for repairs not
covered under warranty. Be advised that Boulder Gear will repair to functional utility. Zipper,
zipper pulls, logos and snaps will be repaired or replaced to the best of our ability. Often a repair looks like a repair; for instance, our Boulder Gear® and brands use
custom colors and snaps and we may no longer have the original zipper color or snap design
in stock.
HOW LONG DOES A WARRANTY/REPAIR ORDER TAKE?
Depending on the time of year, expect approximately a 2 week turnaround. Some repairs may
take longer if we have to order material or parts.
WHO PAYS FOR THE SHIPPING ON A RETURN?
Outdoor Gear will cover ground shipping on all U.S. mainland returns. Expedited or
international shipping is the responsibility of the customer.
HOW CAN I CHECK THE STATUS OF MY WARRANTY CLAIM?
Please feel free to e-mail a member of the warranty team and reference your RA# in the subject
line. Or give us a call. Our normal hours are 9am-5pm Monday-Friday.

WHY DOES IT SEEM THE WATERPROOFING/DWR COATING ISN’T HOLDING UP AS WELL AS WHEN I PURCHASED THE GARMENT?
DWR coating needs to be replenished/revitalized after time. Using NikWax Tech Wash
treatment or other technical outerwear-specific detergents will bring your waterproofing back
to life. Smoke, grease, dirt, and other contaminants will break down the DWR Coating
immediately. Washing items with a liquid detergent, or drying with fabric softener, will break
down the DWR coating and clog the pores in the waterproof/breathable membrane.
