RSL Policy and List

Outdoor Gear Inc.’s Production RSL

To help eliminate the use of highly toxic chemicals in the production of Outdoor Gear Inc’s products going forward, all suppliers and manufacturers that produce apparel for Outdoor Gear Inc will adapt our RSL (Restricted Substances List) which was adopted from the following RSL lists:

• AFIRM
• AAFA (American Apparel & Footwear Association)
• Bluesign®

Outdoor Gear Inc’s RSL addresses hazardous substances that are potentially used, discharged into the environment, and be exposed to workers during the manufacturing process.

The RSL applies to chemicals used in finished garments manufacturing processes facilities and the chemicals on the RSL should not be intentionally used in the facilities in the production process.

Introduction

The Restricted Substance List (RSL) applies to all Outdoor Gear, Inc.’s (OGI) products¹, including but not limited to apparel, and accessories. The RSL also applies to all Raw Materials², parts, trims, chemicals, and other goods supplied or used in the manufacture of Outdoor Gear, Inc.’s Products. 

The Restricted Substance List is an integral part of Outdoor Gear, Inc.’s quality and safety programs and must be shared with all vendors, suppliers, and other entities throughout the product supply chain. Each supplier of Outdoor Gear, Inc’s Product or Raw Material represents and warrants that each of its materials (whether an Outdoor Gear, Inc.’s Product or Raw Material) complies with all provisions of the RSL (including, but not limited to, the RSL prohibitions, restrictions and other requirements) and that the supplier agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Outdoor Gear, Inc.’s brands from any claim, loss, damage or other detriment, resulting from any such supplier’s non-compliance. 

We require our suppliers and business partners to study this document carefully, implement management processes in their operations to comply with these requirements (including a verification process), and communicate the information to their internal teams and raw material suppliers. We require each of our suppliers of Outdoor Gear, Inc. Products or Raw Materials to certify their compliance to the 2024 Outdoor Gear, Inc’s RSL by executing the Supplier RSL Compliance Agreement  and sending it to Outdoor Gear, Inc’s Compliance Specialist Neil Jones njones@outdoorgearinc.com.
